A
Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Rama, located at Rambhadra/ Rambhaddar near
Helabazar, Hajipur. As per local folklore, it is said to have been in existence
since Ramayana period and Lord Shri Ram, the legendary king of Ayodhya is
believed to have visited this place on his way to Janakpur and had got his
Mundan (first head shaving ceremony) done here. The temple hence was made on
his footprints and this place has great religious value for the Hindu populace.
The temple is situated on the top of a stupa/ soil mound (not exactly a
hillock/ mountain) is called Ramchaura Mandir. The Ramchaura Mandir has
tradition of celebrating Ramnavmi, the birth anniversary of Rama, every year. A
popular fair also gets organised here on the eve of Ramnavmi every year. Archeological
objects excavated from Ramchaura are kept at the Patna Museum.
A
Hindu temple situated on the western outskirts of Hajipur. It is believed that Ptaleshhwar
Lord Shiva is known as the protector of the city. Ptaleshhwar place known local
Hindus Rambdra most important place of worship is located in the south of the
city. After 1895 the temple was built from the ground lingam. Away from the
crowds, this Shiva temple architecture is simple but yet attractive. The temple
built in approximately 22800 square feet at present came into existence between
1932-34.
It
is believed that at one point of time Lord Shiva had appeared and decided upon
to reside there forever in the form of lingam. The temple is also adorned with
anthropomorphic images оf Lord Shiva which are worshipped along with the lingam
by the devotees who seek Lord’s blessings and grace. The chanting of hyms adds
to the mysticism of the shrine. During Shivratri, the temple is ornamented
attractively and devotees make offerings and pray for destruction of evils from
their lives. There is a wedding pavilion temple complex where matrimonial
rituals are performed whole year and has been widely as well as officially
recognized.
A
famous temple named Budhia Maai is in Ismailpur (Harauli) village of Hajipur.
Mahadev Math in Rajason situated on the bank of river Ganges. It is also a
historical temple.
4. Maamu- Bhanja (Mazaar/ Tomb of Maamu
Bhanja)
A
muslim pilgrimage near Jadhua on Hajipur-Mahnar road has many version of local
folk story/ history regarding the same. Mamu - nephew of the Aurangzeb's uncle
Shaista Khan alias Damaria Mohinuddin Mughal Hazrat Saheb and Qalamuddin 5
kilometers east of Patna Sahib Majar Meenapur, was made the in Jadhua. The
shrine of Sufi saints locals mamu - Bhagina or uncle - nephew is known as the Majar.
This disciple of Baba Farid shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and is also a

Shah Alam built Karbala is a holy place for Muslims around 180 years ago.
It
is considered as one of the main ghats of the Ganga-Gandak banks, where
worshiping and cremation has been performed side-by-side for centuries. This
ghat has got its name based on an ancient legend, according to this legend,
"The famous fight of Gaja(elephant)-Graah (crocodile), which is well
covered in Indian scriptures, is the reason behind people asking - kaun haara.
Hence the name. Scriptures tell that Lord Vishnu had to interfere in the fight
to save his devotee Gajaraj, who was being drowned by crocodile. Both Gaja and
Grah were gandharavas. But due to some curse they became Gaja and Graah. Lord
Visnu killed Graah to give him instant salvation, and saved life Of Gajaraj.
The depiction of fighting Gaja Graah is an emblem for the city, and is
prominently shown on the Hajipur railway station's dome, entry point of Sonepur
fair and other notable places.
A
unique Shaivite shrine situated in the west of Hajipur, on the confluence of
rivers; the Ganga and the Gandak. Constructed in the late medieval period (18th
century), by (Mathabar Singh Thapa) one of the army commanders of Nepal, the
temple brings-in fresh pagoda-style architecture of the Himalayan Kingdom to
the plains of the Ganga. This temple is built largely of wood. Another
distinctive feature of this temple is its fine wooden carving, which includes,
of others, generous erotic scenes. Both in style and finish, largely drawn in
from the Himalayan world of architecture, Nepali Temple at Hajipur remains
quite singular and inimitable.
The
Mahatma Gandhi Setu (bridge) is the important link between north and south
Bihar. It has been constructed over the Ganga near village Jadhua and connects
Hajipur with Patna. This is one of longest river bridge having length of 6.75
km. The four lane pre-stressed RCC bridge was commissioned into service during
the year 1982. Traveller get an enthralling experience and panoramic view of
lush green banana plantations by Crossing the bridge.
It
is held just opposite Hajipur across the River Gandak, at the place; Sonepur,
where fortnight long cattle fair is organised every year starting from Kartik
full moon day (Last week October/First week of November). The place goes lively
at the onset of winter with the mass holy deep in river Gandak by Hindu at
Kaun-hara Ghat. Besides being claimed as the biggest animal fair in Asia, the
fair entertain visitors with circus, Tamasha (folk plays), Nautanki (folk
dances) and sell everything from elephants to birds; agricultural equipments to
vanity items; winter garments to wooden furnitures. Government Department of
Rural Development, Department of Agriculture etc. organises training and
exihibitions for the farmers coming from all over. The visitors can stay in
hotels at Hajipur or they can hire luxury Swiss cottages erected on sand dunes
beside river Gandak. The tent and cottages are provided by State Tourism
Department only during fair.
Vaishali
Mahotsava (great celebration) is held every year on Baisakh Purnima (Full Moon
Day of 1st Hindu Month) during mid-April to celebrate the birth anniversary of
24th Jain Tirthankar Lord Mahavir who born here in the village Kundalpur, 4km
from Vaishali. The soil of this land is blessed by the visit of Lord Buddha
twice during 3rd century BC. The ancient village of Vaishali is located 35 km
North-West of Hajipur. The place can be reached by road and offers many
archeological places to see which includes Buddha Stupa, Ashokan Piller,
Abhisek Puskarani (coronation Tank of Vajji Rulers) etc. It is held in
mid-April in the official celebration of country music and state participation.
All the places can be seen during day long visit by arranging a private
transport.

The
remains of the fort built by Haji Ilyas Sheikh Jami Masjid which was within the
area, of Hajipur, and is an important building of the Mughal period. This charming
three-domed mosque made of stone size measuring 84.5 ft (25.8 m) long and 33.5 ft (10.2 m) broad. The mosque was erected during Akbar Shah and Saeed Shah 1587 AD (1005
Hijri).

It
is close to Hajipur railway station near where Gandhi visiting three times
during independence movement and is revered as the memorial site. In addition
to a library, Gandhi's spinning wheel and khadi life to encourage love [KVIC]
is driven by the complex. Khadi garments at local shopping centers, honey, raw
ghani mustard oil is available. KVI in Hajipur industrial area where the
central Puny plants are designed to wear.

Langa - Shubi Vriksh next to the old village and the surrounding in district
Vaishali. Business person and farmers Bhuinya place great faith. People gather here
for worship here on every Monday and Friday to offer milk to the idol. Despite
the death of the farmer Basavn victorious in battle and he started his worship.
